Steve , originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, arrived in Costa Rica in 2006 to invest in luxury real estate in the Jaco Beach area. Before his arrival, he was introduced to 2 Costa Rica Real Estate, and requested their exclusive assistance as his buyer’s broker for real estate acquisitions.
With a background in project management for a Fortune 500 company called Vanguard, where he managed projects for significant investment portfolios, Steve brings valuable expertise to the table. He quickly became heavily involved in the luxury vacation rental market in Jaco, Costa Rica, which helped him maximize the profitability of his local real estate assets since 2008.
In 2010, Steve Hooven decided to take the leap and move to Costa Rica permanently to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle while becoming more deeply engaged in the local real estate market. Due to his extensive knowledge of the Jaco and Los Sueños area and the Costa Rica vacation rental market, he naturally progressed to become a Realtor with 2 Costa Rica Real Estate.
Over the last decade, Steve Hooven’s experience and insight flourished, leading him to become the top agent in the Central Pacific area and Broker for 2 Costa Rica Real Estate Jaco office. His dedication to providing exceptional service and leveraging his investment background made him a highly sought-after professional in the region including appearances on House Hunter International and Beachfront Bargain on HGTV.
In 2023, Steve achieved yet another milestone in his career. Building on his decades of success and passion for the industry, he made the natural progression to open his own Real Estate firm, specializing in Luxury Real Estate sales, property management, and vacation rentals. This new venture allowed him to apply his wealth of knowledge and expertise to benefit his clients in even more comprehensive ways.
